The Nvidia App beta now supports DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation on RTX 50-series cards. It adjusts the number of AI-generated frames to a target frame rate, aiming for consistently smooth, high-fps play.
Generation now reaches up to 6x, compared with the previous 4x maximum. The source's tester, Nick, found the technology somewhat impressive, but noted caveats when maximizing generated frames, particularly on lower-spec cards.
Dynamic frame targets and a revised model
In the Nvidia App's Graphics tab, users can enable DMFG globally or for individual games. The target can follow the monitor's refresh rate or a custom maximum frame rate.
The update also supplies a new DLSS Frame Generation model for RTX 40-series and 50-series GPUs. It is designed to account for UI elements and improve generated-image stability around onscreen text and overlays.

Shader preparation during idle time
A beta preview of Auto Shader Compilation attempts to rebuild DirectX 12 game shader caches while the system is idle following a driver update.
Many games use an initial shader-compilation pass to avoid stutter. This feature aims to reduce the need for a complete cache rebuild in every game after each driver update. The source considers its timing useful given Nvidia's frequent driver hotfixes over the preceding months.
To try the features, opt into the app beta through Settings>About. GeForce Game Ready Driver 595.97 is required to access all the additions.
